A weird day, today. My ‘blind date’ was cancelled pretty much when I got up. My dad came in to wake me up to go to play squash…which I didn’t know about. He did this despite me saying to him “I’m going to Caridff tomorrow” the previous day. This prompted me to ask “can I go to cardiff today?”, to which the rather blunt response was “…no”
This was really annoying. So thus I went to play squash and, since it was exam season, I was the only one there. So it was me and two coaches hitting a ball against a wall. Although this was very fun, it did turn out to be quite tiring. The silence in between points was filled by three guys weezing heavily, resembling a really fat guy running after a bus.
After filling the should-be-in-cardiff void with revision, I found once again that I was doing fuck all that evening, so I settled down for a film with my family. Vantage Point was the chosen film, and I thought: “Oh here we go…pointless storyline with over-the-top explosions” but it turned out to be a bloody good film with enjoyable stunts; I found the bit where an agent unrealistically scrambles out of a completely demolished car uninjured very amusing.
The film ended and the night was still not over, so we just watched comedy re-runs on the Dave tv channel, until one by one we all fell asleep.
As a normal day, today was pretty good, but as a Saturday, supposedly the most exciting day of the week, it kind of sucked.
Thanks again for reading.
Peace.
