Hello, readers! I hope you’re well.
Otay…I was looking for potential universities to go to, and found the PERFECT course. I then found this was done at many universities, and so I have choice in the matter. Lovely jubbly.
I then turn over to facebook to find my older brother (who goes to warwick university) has joined a group called
“I PITY COVENTRY UNI”
i thought…..”wha?”
I click to go to the page and find a link to the page that this page is battling against, which is called
“I HATE WARWICK UNI”
this is exactly the kind of thing that makes me lose hope in people. These are universities, the finest form of educational institution in existance, and yet the people there are still forming baseless, pointless rivalries with neighbouring universities. And over what? Sports results, as it turns out. (With the listings on the former page, they’ve ever so cleverly written “scum” in place of “Warwick”. Hilarious.)
Yes, that was a poor use of parenthesis, but the point is that these people feel it’s worthwile to hold a grudge against people they’ve never met based on the location of where they study, and worse still is the fact that some Warwicker thought that the most innovative and mature response to the creation of the warwick-hating group was to make an equally-moronic group.
They need hobbies or something. Squash is fun, try that.
There is, however, hope, seeing as the “pity” group has a grand total of…..12 members.
Looks like most people there, who aren’t idiots, realised the best way was to ignore the people who waste their lives insulting people on the internet. Good. They’re going to do well in life.
In case any members of either group read this, I put this to you:
get a life…..and/or a squash racket
No really. It is fun.
